For help with changing your password, please follow the instructions below.

Login and change your password

1. at login, provide your username
2. at password request, provide CURRENT password
3. you will be prompted again with password request: "Password for username@BA.INFN.IT"; provide again your CURRENT password
4. Enter new password: -> provide your NEW password
5. Enter it again: -> provide again your NEW password
6. if everything went well, the message "Password changed. Session closed" is returned.

Password policy

• Password minimum length is 8 characters
• Password minimum number of character classes is 3. The character classes are: lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers, punctuation, and all other characters.
• You cannot reuse passwords.

What is a good password?

• The more characters you use, the better.
• Make your password easy for you to remember but hard for someone else to guess.
• Picking letters from a phrase that's meaningful to you may be the source for a good password. In this way, your password is really a "pass phrase".
• Intersperse punctuation marks or symbols such as #, $, %, etc.
• Do not use a blank space.
• Always use a mixture of uppercase and lowercase characters.
• Never write down your password; someone else might see it.
• Select a unique password. Do not use a password that you are using for some other purpose, such as your PIN at the bank or your password to another system.
